Right i decided to start writing this guide 2night and its turned into a bit of a mess cuz i was using notepad and couldnt see what i had already typed and probs kept repeating stuff. its no where near finished but im gonna post what ive done so far so u can start finding errors and help me make it better. btw its a bit of a brainstorm atm will try and organise it l8er on but im kinda just writing stuff as i think it. heres the guide so far:
hey. Quite a few people showed interest in me making a flipping guide so i thought i would give it a go. This is my first ever guide so i might need some help editing it and i will probably miss some things out and spell half the words wrong
finding an item:
In other guides ive seen they have said that a good place to start merchanting is to look at the top 100 traded list. services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_rs/top100.ws?list=0&scale=0 . i think the main reason for choosing from these items is that you know there is going to be a large ammount of supply and demand as nearly every item is used for training and only has one use before it vanishes.
choosing your first item to try:
really when merchanting you should look for an item that doesnt fluctuate in price alot otherwise your trades will have an elemant of investing in them and will involve more risk and you will have to check the item more often. although a flat graph is better slite fluctuations in price dont matter too much although you may find that an offer you put in and left overnight will have expired as it is no longer in the price range.
merchanting your first item:
when you have chosen an item try to buy a few of the item for 1gp above minimum price. wait for a few seconds and if no items buy leave that offer in but make another offer for med. if none buy within a few minutes then find another item to try. generally it is better if the item takes a little while to buy a few of the item as this shows that not many people buy/sell at this price so you should be able to sell for more. so once you have an item that you can buy for min/med you want to try and sell for 1 below max price. if you bought for min then you can try selling half of what you bought for 1gp below max and 1gp below min then give them a few minutes to sell. if they dont sell after a long time try selling for the price you bought them for then go back and try to find a new item.
finding your second item:
personally i havn't checked every item on the top 100 traded list but im pretty sure you cant get an item that you buy min and sell max. you will probably only be able to find items you buy for min and sell med or buy med and sell max. so you need to start searching for random items on the ge database
