Three things (bulk merchanting, investing and dumping) are important on how to merchant with the GE. They are explained below.
Bulk Merchanting
Bulk merchanting is simply buying items, and sell them for more profit. Mostly the items which have been bought are sold at the same day. Bulk items can be any resource.

Investing
Investors buy items and hold them. Later they will re-sell them, hopefully with a profit. The key to investing is to buy an item at the end of a fall in price. Price manipulation can be classified in investing. Investing mostly happens at medium and maximum price.

Dumping
Dumping is when the items are being sold after investing them. People dump items at the end of a rise in price. A dump could result in a fall or crash of an item when being dumped in high quantities. Dumping happens mostly at medium and maximum price, sometimes minimum price in very bad occasions.
